The Details

  • Communication is my forte. I’ve been teaching, facilitating, and developing workshop content for over a decade. I help teams learn to better work together collaboratively and respectfully to create and maintain a healthy workplace culture where everyone is engaged and proud of the work they do and equipped to navigate conflict when it arises. The goal of all my training is ultimately to make our lives easier. Engaging with people and meeting them where they’re at is how I operate.

    I can help you navigate challenges around interpersonal communication – such as managing personality differences, ensuring we’re heard and understood, understanding and strengthening emotional intelligence, respecting boundaries, and communicating clearly face-to-face or in writing to help reduce misunderstandings, mistakes, and conflict.

    I can help you better speak to your audience – whether that’s your customers, clients, or community – through developing a clear and consistent voice in your website, marketing, or internal copy. Selling your product, explaining your service, or even just keeping someone on your site can be a challenge. Writing effective digital copy means considering who you’re speaking to, why they’re here, what you want them to do, and how the words you write will live and interact with your website design.

    I can help you manage the virtual workplace environment. The workplace looks different than it did a few years ago - many of us are working remotely or in a hybrid model, and we’ve had to learn how to manage this shift on the fly. The shift to satellite offices and remote work requires a shift in how we approach our tasks and our jobs. I can work with your crew to better manage workload, communication skills, and relationships with colleagues by tackling time management, role expectations, and email and virtual conference etiquette.

  • We all have a lot on our plates, and workshop or professional development training that simply checks a box is a waste of time. My goal is for participants to be engaged, challenged, and heard from their point of view. That means I recommend that our time together not exceed a half-day at a time. Keeping workshops to a maximum of 4 hours ensures everyone can process and reflect on the information provided and the discussions shared.

    Each workshop uses a combination of explanation, small group work, discussion, exercises or case studies, and personal reflections, complemented by a slide deck.

    Workshops also include a tailored digital workbook with information, resources, exercises, and reflections for participants to keep and review.

    All workshop content - including the workbook - remains the property of Jessica Antony Communications unless we’ve negotiated otherwise.

  • I offer tailored workshops for each client I work with - I don’t have a catalogue of off-the-rack workshops to choose from, because every workplace and team is different. That means the first step is a consultation conversation where you can explain the challenges you’re facing and we can clarify the issues that need to be addressed.

    After our initial conversation, I’ll provide a tailored workshop outline for you to review and approve, to be sure the scope and emphasis is on point.

    Then we can set the date and time for our workshop and get down to the business of strengthening your team!
